CCSBT – Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna

 Description

CCSBT is an intergovernmental organisation responsible for the management of Southern bluefin tuna (Thunnus maccoyii) through its area of distribution and aims to ensure, through appropriate management, the conservation and optimum use of Southern Bluefin tuna. The CCSBT Convention does not allow regional economic integration organisations such as the EU to become members, so an Extended Commission was created in which the EU participates as a member.
