When I only want to register a transfer of ownership.
The future owner (buyer) or their legal representative.
Submitting the application online:
1. Register and authenticate at www.bmar.pt
Go to the Create request menu, ‘personal area’ or ‘my organisation’, and select the Request Category ‘Vessels’ and the Request Type ‘Recreational Vessel - Transfer of ownership’.
2. Fill in the required data.
3. Attach the documents in the appropriate fields.
4. Check the information and submit your application.
- If you are the holder's representative, you must complete the Declaration - M-DQAI-34(3).
- If you are the representative of an organisation, you must fill in the Declaration on the establishment of a representative - M-DQAI-33(2).
- Copy of the licence or equivalent document, still in the seller's name.
- Proof of purchase.
Free of charge.
Any costs for changing your registration with the Local Maritime Authority are added.
