Executive Order No. 4/2019 of 3 January, amended by Executive Order No. 9/2024 of 15 January, establishes management measures for the curved ray (Raja undulata) and defines the conditions to be observed regarding the collection of information, for the scientific assessment of this population unit, in zone 9 of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea.
Order No. 1/DG/2025 establishes the rules for the specific licensing of the capture of curved rays, which aims to continue the scientific studies that have been carried out.
Fishermen must register catch information using a mobile phone application developed for this purpose called PERaia, and only as a last resort use the paper form, under the terms decided by the IPMA, as referred to in paragraph 3 of article 5 of Ordinance no. . 4/2019, of January 3, in its current wording.
