Fishing vessels Owners

The request for the construction of a new fishing vessel will have to be submitted by the owner of the fishing vessel to be replaced (counterpart), through the Form available under "Execute Service" by e-mail address to: mail.df@dgrm.mm.gov.pt.

(In the case of vessels with fixed engine, the granting of a building permit is subject, for safety reasons, to the approval of the Directorate of Maritime Administration Services (DSAM) - New Constructions Division (DNC) of this Directorate General), therefore a construction project must be submitted to that Division.

• What documents are required?

  • General arrangement plan and descriptive memory of the vessel to be built;

  • Engine and equipment catalogues to be installed in the new construction;

  • Gross Tonnage Calculation (GT) - (applicable to vessels ≥ 15 m CFF);

  • Technical and economic justification of the project (applicable to inshore and offshore vessels).

  Note: In addition to the indicated documentation, additional documentation may be requested.
