The DGRM is taking part today in the meeting of Maritime Directors at the European Commission, with the participation of the Director General, José Carlos Simão, and the Director of Maritime Administration Services, Paulo Pamplona.

The main topics under discussion are the implementation of the FuelEU Maritime Regulation, which will come into force on 1 January next year, and the EMSWe Regulation, which will also come into force next year.

The new package of sanctions against Russia for its aggression against Ukraine was also discussed, in particular the fight against the Russian Dark Fleet and the transport of LNG.
