On 26 September, the DGRM Auditorium hosted a solemn session to mark the day of the Infante D. Henrique Nautical College, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The ceremony was attended by Miguel Pinto Luz, Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, and the DGRM was represented by its Deputy Director-General, Ricardo Segurado.

Participants had the opportunity to visit the campus and learn more about some of ENIDH's infrastructures, including the maritime simulation centre and the future International Maritime Safety Centre.

During the session, the Padrão dos Descobrimentos Award was presented to Luís Sousa, chairman of the Sousa Group. Luís Figueiredo, director of the ETE Group, was also honoured with the prize, which is awarded annually by ENIDH's ALUMNI to a personality who has made a significant contribution throughout their career to the development of the Economy of the Sea.
