The deadline for applications to PRR Component C10 - Sea, with an allocation of €50 million, for the energy transition and reduction of emissions from the maritime transport of goods and passengers (TC-C10-i07 - Ecological Navigation) has been extended until April 12, 2024.

Objectives of the call:

• To boost the conditions for accelerating the energy transition of maritime transport of goods and passengers in the medium and long term, through the adoption of energy efficiency and digitalization measures on board, the use of alternative, low and zero carbon fuels, namely biofuels or hydrogen, as well as the reduction of polluting emissions on ships.
• Accelerate the decarbonization of the shipping fleet by promoting support for interventions to adapt freight and passenger ships of more than 400 gross tonnage (GT), including at least 70% of ships of more than 5,000 gross tonnage (GT), enabling them to qualify as "clean ships" or "zero-emission ships" within the meaning of Article 36b of the GBER.
