Ministerial Order no. 396-A/2023 of November 27 was published in the Official Gazette, identifying the customs offices where checks and formalities are carried out for the introduction into the European Union of specimens of species covered by the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), safeguarding the sanitary and phytosanitary conditions laid down in the legislation in force.

With a view to making these checks and formalities operational, it also summarizes the type of species in Regulation (EC) No 338/97 that may be subject to checks at each customs office.
