Considering the current data on the discharges made by the Portuguese fleet of Atlantic Blue Marlin (Makaira nigricans), captured in the Atlantic Ocean, it is informed that the fishing quota allocated to Portugal is exhausted.

In this context, and in compliance with paragraph 2 of article 35 of Regulation (EU) nº 1224/2009, of 20 November, fishing for the aforementioned species is prohibited from 00:00 on 31 July, in that zone, as well as keeping on board, transhipment and unloading of catches made from that date onwards.
