The 2nd Notice of component 10 – Sea, Investment TC – C10-i02 – Green and Digital Transition and Fishing Safety No. 02/C10-i02/2022 was republished to support energy transition and reduce the environmental impact for companies in the sector Fisheries and Aquaculture, with the deadline for submitting applications being extended to 17-02-2023 at 5 pm.

Component C10 – Sea, integrated in the PRR’s Climate Transition Dimension, aims to develop a structural, lasting and impactful response, paving the way for building a more competitive, more cohesive and more inclusive economy of the sea, but also more decarbonized and sustainable , with greater capacity to take advantage of the opportunities arising from the climate and digital transitions.

Aligned with these principles, this component will contribute to national options related to the reinforcement of the national productive potential, seeking to guarantee conditions of sustainability and competitiveness of the business fabric connected to the sea, as well as assuming the ambition of combating some of the pockets of poverty located in coastal communities, and ensure a territory that is both competitive and cohesive in a context of adapting to climate and digital transitions.

In terms of preserving the value of oceanic ecosystem services, this component will unequivocally contribute to the “Health of the Oceans” and, in addition, contribute to strengthening the operational, training and scientific capacity of the country.

In this context, Component C10 – Sea aims to develop a more competitive, more employing, more cohesive, more digital and more sustainable economy of the sea.

The allocation allocated to this tender, in the non-refundable incentive component, is 11 million euros, distributed as follows:

Fishing vessels – 8 M€
Other typologies (aquaculture and processing industry) – 3 M€
If applications do not reach the support indicated within the respective typology, the allocation will be transferred to another typology.

Beneficiaries from the Fishing and Aquaculture Sector may apply for the investment, in accordance with the provisions of each tender.
