DGRM favorably granted the accreditation as a training entity for maritime activity to Escola do Mar (EMA), located in the Azores, and the process of signing the Cooperation Agreement is currently underway. between DGRM and the Escola do Mar of Azores on the Training of Seafarers, and its conclusion is awaited shortly so that the aforementioned training entity can be fully certified.

This attribution recognizes EMA's autonomy to provide national and international certified professional training, aimed at (re)qualification, reconversion, improvement and progression of maritime careers.

The EMA accreditation represents another step towards the promotion of qualification and enhancement activities for professionals in the maritime, port and fisheries sector.
