The 2022 Dredging phase was completed in Póvoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde under the Multiannual Contract for the Northern Ports.

In Póvoa de Varzim, the work ended last week, comprising the dredging of the bar (-6.0m ZH), the port access channel (-5.0m ZH) and the fuel pier (-2.5m ZH), totaling a volume of about 80,000 m3 of sediment removed.

At the Port of Vila do Conde, the work was also recently completed and involved the dredging of the bar (-4.0m ZH) and the access channel (-3.0m ZH), totaling a volume of 55,000 m3 of sediment removed.

These interventions reinforce maritime safety in these bars and the operational conditions of both ports.
