The Directorate-General for Natural Resources, Security and Maritime Services (DGRM) received, on May 31, 2022, the visit of the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Hugo Santos Mendes.
The Director General, José Carlos Simão, and the Deputy Directors, Isabel Ventura and Susana Baptista, accompanied the Secretary of State on a visit to the DGRM premises.
On this visit, José Carlos Simão presented the various areas of competence of the DGRM, making known some of the innovative projects that are underway, particularly related to ocean renewable energies.
Mention was also made of the maintenance dredging that is taking place, at a good pace, in the ports of Póvoa de Varzim, Lagos and Ericeira.
The Secretary of State for Infrastructure showed his commitment to respond to the challenges presented by the Director-General with regard to maritime security in commercial ports and related matters, expressing his willingness to work on the best responses from the State.
