Considering the current data on landings by the Portuguese fleet of the species undulate ray (Raja undulata), taken as a by-catch fishery in sub-area 9 of Union waters, it is reported that the provisional fishing quota allocated to Portugal under Article 7(1) of Regulation (EU) No 2021/92 of 28 january has been fully committed.

In this context, and in compliance with paragraph 2 of Article 35 of Regulation (EU) No 1224/2009 of 20 november, it is prohibited to fish for the above-mentioned species in the aforementioned sub-area, as well as maintenance on board, tranship and land the catches made, except as regards the provisions of Article 15 of Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013 of 11 December, as from 00:00 hours on 13 march.
